These scarecrows are an example of the artistic creativity that still
flourishes in Park Ridge. Winners in the following categories峴 in
Show, Most Ingenious, Best Famous Character, Most Likely to Scare Crows,
and Most Durable (or green)鬬 be announced at Homegrown Horrorfest
at Iannelli Studios Heritage Center, 255 N. Northwest Highway, Park
Ridge. The Kalo Foundationɡnnelli Studios Heritage Center will host
Homegrown Horrorfest on Sunday, October 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. Maine South alum Chris Larsen will read from his recently published novel, LOSING TOUCH, featuring a forward by New York Times best selling author, Piers Anthony. Park Ridge Journal & Topics lifestyle editor Denise Fleischer will read from her own novel, DEADLY RESERVATIONS. In addition, two more Maine South alums, will contribute to the afternoonথstivities. Scott Fischer of Fisher's Flicker will provide a mix of seasonal music as well as adaptations of his own compositions. An Eerie Art Exhibit by Adam Nardi, tattoo artist and instructor for the Chicago Park District will be on display.
